Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has submitted his revised budget.  This proposed $145.8 BILLION will be his fourth budget and has ballooned beyond belief.  The budget prior to his election was $99,143,404,958 according to the California Final Budget Summary.  After recalling Gray Davis to try to bring some sanity to Sacramento Arnold has grown government....wait are you sitting down?....his four budgets have grown a disgusting 47%!

How in the world is this possible?
Here are the numbers available from the California Final Budget Summary documents
Year Budget    Growth
2000-2001   $ 99,424,137,212
2001-2002  $103,279,391,394 4%
2002-2003 $ 98,887,862,521 -4%
2003-2004 $ 99,143,404,958 0%
2004-2005* $105,377,333,979 6%
2005-2006 $117,362,515,584    11%
2006-2007 $131,402,614,300 12%
2007-2008 $145,800,000,000 (proposed) 11%

*Arnolds First Budget

This just goes to show that the more money politicians take, the more they will spend.  We should be swamped with billions of excess tax dollars, but the politicians can ALWAYS spend faster than they can tax.
